SHORT STORY                    

SCENE 1

One day far under the sea there was an Octopus named Olie.   She had only seven legs.  Ocean doctor said that the eighth leg will grow when Olie will turn eight years old.  Her mother was very sad. 

For seven years, Olie's friends teased her about the missing leg.  She felt very sad and lonely.

SCENE 2

One day her cousin Olivia told to other sea creatures that as Olie has seven legs, she is not part of the real Octopus family.  Though it was a lie everyone believed because Olivia was the oldest child in the family.  

SCENE 3

When the other creatures played games, Bob the seahorse never allowed Olie to play.  He said you can never catch us with only seven legs.  Go and find a friend that has an extra leg to play with.

SCENE 4

One day Olie was swimming, she saw a big shark named Gasper.  She felt scared as she had never been close with a big shark before.  Gasper was friendly, kind and very sweet and they became best friends.  Everyday Olie would sneak away to see her best friend Gasper as sharks were not allowed to talk to other sea creatures. 

SCENE 5

One day Bob saw Olie was playing with a big shark.   He could not believe his eyes.  

SCENE 6

He ran to other creatures and told them what he saw.

SCENE 7

The next day Bob saw Olie sneaking out and followed her.  Suddenly a group of shark attacked Bob to eat him.  Bob shouted loudly by seeing the sharks coming his way.  After hearing his frightened voice Olie turned back and saw Bob in danger.  

SCENE 8

She saved his life by pleasing the sharks to eat her instead of Bob and let Bob go.   Hearing this Bob felt ashamed as he bullied Olie earlier for her leg.   Olie managed to send the sharks back and saved Bob.  

SCENE 9

They both went home and Bob told others that Olie saved him.  All the creatures were surprised and promised Olie that they will never tease her. 

SCENE 10

The next day was Olie's eighth birthday.  Everyone enjoyed the party.  Surprisingly no new leg was grown.  She was very sad and hopeless and went to sleep.

SCENE 11

The next morning, when she woke up she saw a fairy in front of her.  The fairy said she was the kindest Octopus in the whole sea.  I wish all your birthday dreams come true.  The fairy disappeared. 

Olie went out to play and everyone was amazed to see Olie's eighth leg.

It was the happiest day of Ollie's life.
